Why the name Kinkai? It translates to "Gold Nugget" in Japanese. Just exactly how we feel about our signature pineapple tarts being a piece of gold in our mouth!

Or you could also draw parallels with how it sounds like the cantonese term 傾偈 (King Gai) which means to chit-chat because thats what you would be doing while popping these cookies over the CNY season!
